These terms apply to all competitions, giveaways and promotions run by Reef Recycling & Logistics (“the promoter”). By entering, you agree to these terms. The specific prize, dates and entry method for each competition are set out in that competition’s announcement (on our Facebook page or in-depot) — these general terms apply to all of them.

2. Eligibility

• Open to Queensland residents aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
• Employees of Reef Recycling & Logistics and their immediate families are not eligible.
• Entry is free — no purchase is necessary.

3. How to enter

Entries are accepted by attending the Reef Recycling depot during opening hours on the relevant promotion day and dropping off eligible containers under the Containers for Change scheme — unless a specific competition states a different entry method in its announcement. Each separate drop-off transaction counts as one entry unless stated otherwise.

4. Draws

• Draws are conducted at the Reef Recycling depot during opening hours on the relevant day.
• Winners are drawn at random from all eligible entries.
• The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. Winner notification and prize claim

• Winners are notified in person at the time of the draw and/or announced on the Reef Recycling Facebook page (com/reefrecycling).
• Prizes must be collected from the Reef Recycling depot within 30 days of being announced, unless stated otherwise.
• If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within the stated period, the promoter may draw an alternative winner.

6. Prizes

• Prizes are as described in each competition’s announcement. Prize values are GST-inclusive.
• Prizes are not transferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be exchanged for an alternative.
• The promoter is not responsible for the use of a prize once it has been collected.

7. Privacy

Personal information collected for a competition is used only to administer that competition. By entering, you consent to your first name being announced as a winner on the Reef Recycling Facebook page. We do not sell, rent or trade your information. See our Privacy Policy for further detail.

8. Changes and cancellation

The promoter may amend, postpone or cancel any competition at its discretion — including for reasons of weather, equipment or supply — and will communicate any changes via the Reef Recycling Facebook page.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the promoter accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in a competition or use of a prize, other than liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the Queensland courts.
